Our Philosophy
At The Redeemed Mind we believe there are four important daily practices that we can all do to help strengthen our minds, grow our faith, and lead us to greater mental health.
This is why at the end of our devotionals you will find a reflective question, a prayer, a positive affirmation statement, and a call to action.
Self-reflection is the cornerstone to achieving greater mental health. Through self-reflection, we can gain a better understanding of our core values and beliefs, as well as our strengths and weaknesses. It also allows us to gain greater insight into our thoughts and emotions, so we can take control of them and change our behaviours.
Self-reflection is also important for growing our faith. Because it allows us to identify where we are falling short so we can bring those areas of our lives to God and ask Him for help.
Prayer allows us to bring the areas of our life that we are struggling with before God and ask for help. Prayer also opens a space for God to speak into our lives about the areas that we need to focus on improving. Prayer opens our hearts and minds to be inspired, equipped and empowered by God as we journey with Him towards greater mental health.
Affirmation statements allow us to balance our negativity with positivity, creating a more balanced perspective which allows us to see ourselves as God sees us. They also allow us to create a space within ourselves for God to enter and help us transform our minds to see reality the way He sees it.
Our actions are where our values and beliefs come to life. Living out our values leads to greater authenticity and vitality. Because without action we cannot bring about the growth and change God desires for us. As we step out in faith and live out our values, we become everything God created us to be, and experience greater mental health.
