Hello! I am Dr Ps Tobias Wade, author, and creator of The Redeemed Mind.

I live in Hervey Bay, Queensland, Australia, with my beautiful wife and three children.

​

I work as a General Practitioner in Hervey Bay and have over 14 years of clinical experience. I have extensive training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Motivational interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I use these therapies regularly with my patients to help treat depression, anxiety, and stress.

I have over 15 years of ministry experience. My ministry as a Pastor is focused on teaching and equipping others to live their best lives for Jesus and to be everything that God knows they can be. My family attend New Life Christian Church in Hervey Bay, where I serve and preach regularly. I have a heart and passion for mission, and I love to travel to the Philippines to serve and minister.

I am also passionate about equipping and empowering people to live their best lives and become the version of themselves that God created them to be. This passion was born out of a significantly challenging period of my life.

​

In May 2016 I was in a severe motor vehicle accident. I sustained an acquired brain injury and fractures requiring a period of rehabilitation and multiple surgeries over an 18-month period. I developed post-traumatic stress disorder and received extensive psychological therapy over a 2-year period. During this time, I was unable to work, and through these challenges and hardships, my faith was significantly impacted. During this period, my prayer life was simply one word: “Why?” The turning point for me in my recovery came after I prayed to God that no matter what happened, I would accept His will for my life moving forward. After this my body and mind were strengthened, my faith grew, and I was able to return to work and ministry.

When I came to accept that God was in control and that He had a plan and purpose for my life, my mindset towards life and ministry changed. I have come to embrace my calling throughout my various teaching and preaching ministries, including the creation of The Redeemed Mind.

My prayer is that this website can serve to empower and equip others to grow in their faith, change their mindsets and become everything that God has created them to be.
